DescriptionFluctuations in temperature within an enclosure can lead to condensation. Condensation forms rapidly particularly inside airtight enclosures because humidity cannot escape and this can lead to component damage and in extreme cases short circuits or failure of the unit. It is possible to alleviate this potential problem through the use of breather drains which allow condensation moisture to escape from the base of enclosure. IP66 Breather drains are available in polyamide, aluminium, nickel plated brass, unfinished brass and stainless steel for Ex e and Ex d enclosures to Ex II 2 GD, Ex e IIC Gb, EX tb IIIC Db, Ex I M2 and Ex e I Mb. Sizes are M20, M25 and NPT ½” and ¾”. |
